Shark Cartilage (SC) is a dietary supplement made from the dried and powdered cartilage of a shark; That is from the tough material that composes a shark’s skeleton. Shark cartilage provides the horse with a powerful combination of proteins, glucosamine, and chondroitin sulfate. These compounds are essential to the equine immune system and support healthy joints.

How It Works:

Shark cartilage is a pure source of an important family of carbohydrates called mucopolysaccharides. SC Formula is composed of 100 percent freeze-dried shark cartilage. Shark cartilage improves joint function by reducing synovial fluid protein levels and increasing synovial fluid hyaluronic acid concentration in traumatized equine carpal and hock joints. Shark cartilage caused increased collagen and GAG synthesis in both articular cartilage explants and cell cultures from normal and osteoarthritic equine cartilage.

Also, early laboratory study results show that it also seems to work for cancer.

Shark cartilage might reduce the growth of new blood vessels needed for cancer to grow.

 

Indications:  

For use by or under the direction of a registered veterinarian as an agent for\to:

• Renew the building blocks of healthy cartilage.
• Non-infectious inflammatory joint problem.
• Traumatic arthritis.
• Degenerative cartilaginous joint problem.
• Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD or OD).
• Repair cartilage and rapidly aid in the production of new cartilage.

 

Dosage and Administration:

Administer 5 ml daily IM per 450 kg animal every 1- 4 days for 10 administrations, or as directed by a licensed veterinary.

The best result is combining Shark Cartilage^TM with Hyalegend^TM prior to and/or at the time of administering Shark Cartilage^TM.
