SarapenTM is a natural solution extracted from Sarraceniaceae as an analgesic indicated for the management of muscular or neuropathic pain that may be aided by local infiltration or nerve block, joint pain and inflammation caused by arthritis and for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with neurologic pain in horses and dogs.

Indications:
For use by or under the direction of a registered veterinarian in selective cases of:
- Nerve block or local infiltration.
- Reducing joint pain and symptoms of arthritis by stopping pain-signals in the nerves of the spine.
Precautions:
Gentle and Unhurried Procedure: It is recommended to perform procedures with care and without haste.
Administration via Procaine Wheal: Whenever feasible, administration should be conducted through a procaine wheal to ensure optimal comfort.

Adverse Reactions:
Recumbent Position Maintenance: After administration, it is advised to keep the patient in a reclined position for 10 to 15 minutes.

How It Works:
Pitcher plants are the largest group of carnivorous plants and Sarracenia is one of the largest pitcher plant genera. SarapenTM is a biological medicine – which means it is derived from a naturally occurring organism. Formerly on the market as Sarapin® and SarapenTM, the pitcher plant extract has been used for more than fifty years in alleviating the scope of pain, both from muscular and neuralgic origins. Pitcher plant is an analgesic which supports the management of muscular or neuropathic pain that maybe aid by local infiltration or nerve block. It is commonly used to aid for mild causes of certain types of pain, including TMJ, trigger points, sciatic pain, intercostal neuralgia, lumbar and trigeminal neuralgia, certain types of eye pain, and lumbar pain. It works by stopping pain signals in the nerves of the spine where they exit the spinal column. It does not affect any other nerve functions or motor functions and is not affected by heat or cold.
